I have an Element Portable DVD dual screen player-model E750-DPD? Can I hook Playstation 2 up to it? The main screen has a separate digital out and av in hole in addition to these three to connect to the second screen-DC out, IR link, AV out. The second screen has only av in ir link, dc in-all which connect to the first screen. The player came with an av cable, one side connects to the main screen digital out. The other end has 3-red,yellow,white-but they can't connect to PS2-is this where I need a separate adapter? If so, what? I'll bet Radio Shack will have what I need, they always do! Does the 2007 Toyota Sienna DVD Navigation system have dual DVD screens? I'd like to know if the DVD navigation system is just for navigating or is it also a DVD player system. How do I get my portable DVD player to run off it's battery? I bought an Insignia dual screen portable DVD player at Best Buy. I have returned 2 so far because I can't get them to play using battery power. I have called the Insignia help line 3 times with no success. I have tried plugging the unit in for 24+ hrs to charge the battery - both with the unit on and with the unit off. I assume that I should be able to play a movie, and remove the power plug to let the battery take over.....or turn the unit on without having the power cord plug in.....I can't do either. I can't find any switch to engage the battery....can't find any settings in the menus of the DVD player....and can't find any instructions about the battery in the manual. The helpline insists that it has an internal battery and that it should last about 2.5 hrs. I thought I was a smart guy, but I'm feeling very dumb......please help!

Car DVD player 12v power adapter wont fit in my 12v slot?!?!? I got a Venturer Dual screen DVD player for my car as a Christmas gift.. The requirements are a 12v thing... where the cigarette lighter thing goes... it's a 12v, but I can't get the thing to fit! Anyone else had this issue? How the hell do I make it fit? Portable Disney DVD player will only play/recognize CD's.? We recently bought a portable dual screen Disney dvd player off ebay and it will only recognize and play CD's. How can I make dvd's play in my dvd-vcr player with tv on dual mode satellite receiver & 36 in. tv? I have a 36in RCA cabinet tv that is tied into a satellite dish with a dual mode receiver that enables the one receiver to serve 3 different tvs. Also attached to this tv is a Samsung DVD-VCR player. The problem is that some DVD's just won't play. The screen says this disc cannot be played, yet it plays ok on another dvd player that is built into a very inexpensive Magnavox TV. The disks that won't play are rented ones or some mood-enhancers I bought that play natural sounds, music, and a changing scene similar to a screensaver, for example a fire in a fireplace or waterfalls. Again, these same DVD's play ok on my Magnavox. I contacted Dish tech support both on the phone and online to no avail. Phone guy said he'd get back to me but didn't. Online had no sensible way to describe the problem. I tried to contact Samsung; again, communication failed. I fed all the codes the satellite gave me into the satellite receiver to enable my Samsung, but it didn't work.

How do I create a DVD readable for my home theater dvd player? I am considering buying a Dual Layer DVD+-RW writer for my PC. I would then like to copy photos and videos from my digital camera onto a DVD disk, so that my DVD player on my home theater can read it and display the images on the screen. Question about dual SCART adaptor for DVD and cable box....? We have only one working SCART input on the back of our TV. This means we have to keep switching cables from the DVD player and cable box depending on what we want to watch. We tried using a SCART splitter, but for some reason the signal from the DVD player (even when it was on standby) interfered with the signal from the cable box - the TV picture was mixed with the 'sleep' screen from the DVD player. The only solution was to switch the DVD player off at the power outlet. Unfortunately the outlet is behind a heavy bookcase, so it wasn't a simple solution. Is there any special SCART cable/adaptor we could use that would overcome the problem of interference from the DVD player?

Will AVI. format play on DVD Players? I use a game tracking/trail camera (cuddeback no flash to be exact) and it uses Compact Flash ULTRA II cards to collect the images and videos. I was going to purchase a card viewer with a screen to view images in the field immediately when I switch out my SD cards. After researching the only one I could find, I felt it was not economical, as the product reviews were at best 50/50 for this machine. I then started researching portable DVD players that also have a USB port (as tyhis is the way i presently view the images and videos on my computer), or even a card port. I have found quite a few of these which seem to be economical. This would also serve a dual purpose as I would have a portable DVD for DVD viewing. My question is this though. The format or the still images is JPEG. which it appears that (most) DVD players will play JPEG images. The video format is AVI. Does anyone know if DVD players will play this format? Where can I find a 8 pin DIN cable? I have an insignia dual dvd player for my car, and the kids kept kicking the screens, and bent the cable. I figure I can call the manufacturer, but if I could get it online, it would be easier. I want to ask about video projector and signal problems that cause loss of picture? I am a Video D.J. I use a dual tray DVD player and a Video Projector. Sometimes when I am playing the music the screen blanks out and says searching for signal. Sometimes it comes right back and sometime it doesn't come back at all. I have tried different types of video projectors and have replaced every wire being used. I don't know what else to try. Do they make anything that will ampliphy the video signal?

We have audio but not video on our portable DVD player. How do we fix it? It's a dual screen, so it's got the cables that come from the main device and plug in to each screen. (We secure them to the back of the captain's chairs in the minivan so our kids can watch movies during long road trips.) The screen is bright blue the whole time, not dark. All of the cables are connected (and they are all black). It plays all DVDs -- we can HEAR the movie, we just can't SEE it. The device has worked just fine until now. The screen is always blue. It is the only thing we can see.

Why won't my burned itunes videos work? I used Replay Converter to convert and burn itunes music videos to a disk so i can watch them on the big screen. I used a CD. As a target format i chose dvd-NTSC (my dvd player is dual system). The process seemed to work on the computer, but my dvd player gave me a message that says it cannot play this disk and i should try another. Is there a difference between a CD and a DVD disk (i thought it was just capacity). What am i doing wrong??

my stereo turns off at long lights....? i drive a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant. i have an Alpine IVA-W200 double DIN touch screen dvd player, A 550Watt amp powering 2 12" subs. i have dual (co.) speakers in the rear, and the stock speakers in the front. yesterday i put in a .5 farad capacitor. i know it isnt the greatest system, but it thumps... now my problem... i know i have everything wired properly, but when im stuck at a long light, my stereo head unit shuts off. the only thing i can think of is that being stopped, the idle isnt high enough to keep enough power going to the system, and it shuts off. so how can i fix this ? i am in between jobs and looking for a way to do this cheap. the ALT. is new, but OEM, and the battery isnt but 2 months old, and again, oem stats, not sure on the make of it though. i would like to upgrade to an optima, but thats in the future. so how can i fix this on the cheap ? mostly i wanna raise the RPMs. when i bought the car (used about 1 year ago) i refused to take it home because pulling out of the yard, it almost stalled (auto tranny). the other thing is my remote started, i have a viper system, security and remote started. it also doesnt keep the car running (i assume because of the low RPMs) any HELP is much appreciated... Piece of crap car, but a great system in my opinion. Let me know what you think. Having DVD- & DVD+ Playback Issues when recording with my Sony DVD Recorder? I have a Sony DVD Recorder RDR-HXD760 - is a dual SD digital tuner and recorder (im from Australia) Earlier i recorded an AFL game from the HDD (recorded originally in LSP mode) to a DVD-R disc and the disc was finalised. Now the disc is finalised i do a routine check and playback. Then when 'Playback' appears, it shows up in more of a 'widescreen' format and .. somewhat scaled down along the vertical axis to like a 4:2 ratio and well .. almost like it was squashed down for the DVD ??? strange! Now, i playback previously recorded content, recorded on a DVD+R and the play back shows up to the full screen width, no squashing down etc. I seem to be reading alot on here that recording to a DVD-R is optimal for movies though? Is that right? I think the DVD+R's are alot more versatile though! So i should have spent money on some DVD+R's i think now?? Strangely, Playback of the DVD-R disc on my other older NEC DVD Player (silver one, quite popular 2-3 years back) is completely fine

Mac the RIpper help!!? So, the DVD I wanted to back-up was too big, so I used the "main feature only" mode in Mac the ripper, so it would fit on a standard DVD, rather than a DUal layer I've backed up alot of my DVDs in "whole disk extraction" mode before, but this one I wanted a copy of the movie itself (under 2 hours) but didn't want to "waste" a blank Dual layer DVD Anyway, it extracted, and I have all the VOB files in a folder, and I can even watch them with VLC media player, they look fine. But when I burnt it to a DVD and popped it into my Tv's DVD player, it just played the first screen where I'm supposed to chose full screen version or widescreen. It won't actually let me chose, and I can't figure out how to make it play the movie.. So I went back to the folder.. I looked at each VOB file, and found one that was just a menu (diff menu, actually) so I deleted it and the related ISO file that went with it.. There's also VTS_01_0.BUP, as well as Video_TS.BUP and VIdeo_TS.IFO.. please keep reading The thing is, I never saw the menu that was giving me trouble.. that comes up first when I pop the DVD in, and won't let me pass it.. could it have been one of the BUP files?? What are those other files I mentioned? Are they important? I just want the actual movie (for which I have four VOB files) to play when I pop it in.. no menus (since they're giving me trouble) Should I try just burning those four VOBs onto a disk.. would that likely work?? HElp???

Flat screen PC monitor as Cable TV monitor? Higher end PC flat monitors have dual inputs: VGA and DVI. Does the DVI jack allow me to connect directly to say a DVD player or cable box and use the monitor to watch DVD videos or cable tv??? Comcast charges $6 per month to rent a digital box and I can get a 19" LCD ViewSonic for $249.00. This combo sounds like a cheap and cool TV setup, or is this too good to be true?

Full screen and smplayer and Ares video player.? I have a pc running Winxp which I connect to my 37-inch wide-screen HDTV via HDMI. I use both monitors in combination in dual mode, which gives me the ability to display different things on each one and to drag things from one monitor to the other. It works fine and the picture is great. So far I have been using Dvix Player or Windows Media player to watch my movies and it works fine on both monitors. Lately Lately I've been using SM Player because I have a lot of DVD files and it plays all of them, My problem is that when I drag SM player onto my HDTV it displays a black screen, the audio is perfect but the screen is completely dark, no matter what size I choose for the player or what resolution I use for my HDTV. I noticed that if I use the player that comes with Ares the same thing happens, they both work great in all modes on my pc monitor but not on the HDTV, but the other player work on both. I checked all the settings and at this point I don't really know what to think. I don't pretend to be an expert on HDTV's and I really doubt it has anything to do with HDMI.

Video play back problems on 2 screens? I have a training dvd rom that contains video, i have connected my laptop to a flat screen also, my problem is that i want to play the video on the flat screen and run the program that im learning on the laptop display and work at the same time the video is running but when i move the dvd rom video player over to the flat screen it displays a full screen video on the laptop display and i cannot see the program i want to use how do i stop this ? i am running my desktop in dual view the player the training dvdrom uses is quicktime and if i try it in reverse ie. video on laptop and program on the flat screen the same happens but in reverse hope people understand what im getting at if not i will add more details many thanks in advance ;o)

My deck won't load cd's anymore HELP!? I have a Dual flip out 7" touch screen dvd,mp3 player. The other day it stopped loading discs. I tried to put one in and it seemed like the disc was catching on something. I wiggled the disc and it loaded but then ejected disc after like 3 seconds. I tried a few times and this is all it is doing. I bought the player from best buy a little over a year ago. It is not under warranty. What should I do.

Need help on VCR's recording problem.? I have a dual vcr/dvd player. Just like over a week ago, when I go to put a tape in and press record, the playback is all messed up. There are lines that are going up and down on the screen, it has done this to all my tapes. It plays back other tapes fine as long as they weren't recording an ything in the last week or so.
