Cheap Portable/ Personal Dvd Player? HI all I am going on a road trip next week. I need a portable cheap dvd player for the kids both 8 yrs old. So nothing fancy. Taking 2 seperate vehicles so I need 2 of them. Anyone got any links? Anything under $100 each, I seen them at wal-mart for this price. But I just need to occupy two 8 yr old girls.

what is a good/cheap battery replacement for a portable dvd player audiovox d2010? reason being is that the origional battery does not last long anymore, i beleive its because it ws left in the car during the heat, and im planning a family trip and i would like to keep the kids busy for some time..

Can you help me find the perfect portable DVD player for my husband? I'm wanting to get my husband a portable DVD player for Christmas that he can use in the car mostly but also be able to take anywhere. I am technologically challenged and don't even know where to begin. Could you suggest a brand and model that's reliable and worth the money, and also the website I can look/purchase it? How do I convert my .avi’s to DVDs, standard signal DVDs? My kids have video cameras. One is a Vidster, one is a VideoNow brand camera. Neither take very high quality pictures, but my kids like them. I also have a Dazzle video converter to put my own Hi-8 videos onto my PCs for editing. Yay! What fun! Down load it to YouTube! All of these products and their software (for editing etc.) make .avi videos. That is just fine. The problem is this: My kids want to make DVDs that will work in their grandparents, and cousins and friends standard (cheap) DVD players. I thought I could solve the problem with my Panasonic DVD recorder. I ran the .avi signal though the Panasonic and it recorded a DVD for me. Lovely. Problem: The DVD made doesn’t work on any other deck than the one it was recorded on, not the in-car DVD players, the portable DVD player, the $40. cheapie in my daughter’s room, not my parents or my in-laws. I don’t want to buy any more electronics. All I want is a (cheap or free) app that will convert .avi to a universal DVD format.

Why is my mother making such stupid decisions to get cash? Lately, my mom's business isn't doing so well and its going very slow so she doesn't make as much money as before. She always asks my brother for money all the time and it bothers me. I know its because she isn't making a lot of money at work. But she always spends her money on useless stuff. Two days ago, she asked me if she can borrow $50 to buy some portable dvd player that is on sale. At first, she was going to steal $50 from my wallet because I caught her looking through it, but my money was hidden safely somewhere else. I didn't lend her the money because I figured that making $50 at work should be easy so I don't know why she would want it and plus, what would she possibly do with a dvd player? So she asked my brother and lied to him, saying that the $50 was to pay some bills. Right now, my mother is basically desperate for money. She has two boyfriends, but none of them know that. One boyfriend is just there to lend her some extra cash to pay for rent, spoil her with gifts and such. The other one lives on the other side of the country and calls her everyday. She's using one boyfriend for his money and I think that is just wrong. What example is she setting for her two kids? (Btw, I'm 13 and my brother is 17 but he only works on the weekends and makes around $100 a week) Also, whenever I want to buy something, she always says that we never have any money and that I need to use my own money. I'm still young so I don't work but I do have an allowance from my aunt and my grandmother. I understand that parents don't have all the money in the world but my mom is spending her boyfriend's money with whatever she wants. As for the rent, my brother and I have to pitch in some money sometimes because my mother never has any money because she spent it on materialistic things. Even if I want something that is cheap like $30, its always "Do you have your money?" "Thats too much" But when I look through her purse, she has tons of cash she spends for herself. She is being selfish and making such terrible decisions in getting that cash. She stops letting me visit my aunt every week because my aunt gives me and my brother money all the time and my aunt never gives my mom money. My mom needs a man to depend on, to live off of, and I'm sick of it. She has never been like this since now. Its not that my mom is a terrible parent. She just makes such stupid decisions and I sometimes dont even believe shes a parent because she acts so childish. Shes not 20 anymore and she has two kids. Shes worrying more about money for herself and finding a man to love and to use. Can someone please tell what is really going on with my mother?

The Xbox 360 and the PS3? People always argue over which system is better. I've seen articles about the two, and they usually say that the Xbox 360 is better, but the PS3 has more potential. The Xbox 360 is easier to design games for, and it had pretty good graphics. The PS3 usually has better contrast, but lower-resolution textures or smaller draw distances. There are also more bugs and glitches... No one really uses the 50GB Blu-Ray disk to its full potential. There's Metal Gear Solid 4, and some other PS3 exclusives, but over 80% of the games for the PS3 can pretty much fit into a DVD. The PS3 has better specs, but if you just look at the numbers, then that must mean the Gamecube and Xbox are better than a PS2, which isn't really true. Xbox 360: Pros Good Graphics Better Exclusive Games (but that's just an opinion) Cheaper Bigger Hard Drive Better Online Stuff (Xbox Live is known to be > PSN) Less Bugs/Glitches Can Play AND Charge Controllers Usually Voted For Better-Feeling Controller PS3: Pros Free Online Multiplayer (but $4 a month isn't that big of a deal...) Better Controller for Fighting Games Good Contrast (stuff ain't pitch-black at times) UP TO 7 CONTROLLERS CONNECTED AT ONCE (but the use of this isn't very clear) Blu-Ray Media Player Can Connect to PSP (Microsoft doesn't even have a portable console) Quiet Xbox 360: Cons WTF is with the Super-Contrast??? Or, answer to me with this wealth of info about which system is better, and will be better in the next 2 years. (People are still learning how to design for the PS3)
