What is the best recommend dual DVD portable player for car? My husband and I are taking our kids to Disney in June, I was wondering we have been window shopping for portable DVD players for the car. Preferably a dual. But for some reason every dual dvd player that we have seen has terrible reviews from other people. Out of chance does anyone have or know of a great dual portable dvd player for the car that you can say works great and really recommend? Thanks in advance.
How do I hook up my playstation to my venturer dual portable dvd player? I'm trying to hook up my playstation to my portable dvd player that has two screens.... I plug my playstation into one of the screens and it works fine but i can't connect the screens together after i plug in my playstation because there is no other red yellow and white holes to plug them into....... Is there a cable I can buy to do this? like a y adapter or something?
Dual screen portable DVD player with battery? Does anyone know where I can find a dual screen portable DVD player with battery? Our current one stopped working and I cannot find one with a battery for the main screen anywhere. We like to bring the main screen on airplanes with us which is why we need the battery. Here is a link to an example of a dual screen portable DVD player: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Element-7-Dual-Screen-Portable-DVD-Player-E750-DPD/sem/rpsm/oid/180352/catOid/-12874/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do This one does not have a battery on the main unit. It needs to be plugged in at all times (wall outlet or in the car). 95% of the time that would be okay, but on occasion we would like to be able to just take the main unit on an airplane and use it. Thanks!
I have an Element Portable DVD dual screen player-model E750-DPD? Can I hook Playstation 2 up to it? The main screen has a separate digital out and av in hole in addition to these three to connect to the second screen-DC out, IR link, AV out. The second screen has only av in ir link, dc in-all which connect to the first screen. The player came with an av cable, one side connects to the main screen digital out. The other end has 3-red,yellow,white-but they can't connect to PS2-is this where I need a separate adapter? If so, what? I'll bet Radio Shack will have what I need, they always do! Thanks so much in advance. I am travelling with two little boys this weekend and this will save my sanity on the long car-ride if one can watch a movie and the other can play a game!!!! Then they won't fight (or maybe not as much:)...).
Dual Screen Portable dvd player? Me and my family are moving across country and we are taking a car. We need a dual screen portable dvd player that can play 2 movies at once. It also needs to have headphone jacks. Does anyone know a an affordable candidate?
Will my dual dvd players fit on my head rest? I have a Town and Country mini van. My head rest are not adjustable. Does anyone own a Philips 7" Dual-Screen Portable DVD Player, PET7402/37? If so, can you tell me if the straps are horizontal or vertical? My seats are one full seat so Im hoping they are horizontal.
How do I get my portable DVD player to run off it's battery? I bought an Insignia dual screen portable DVD player at Best Buy. I have returned 2 so far because I can't get them to play using battery power. I have called the Insignia help line 3 times with no success. I have tried plugging the unit in for 24+ hrs to charge the battery - both with the unit on and with the unit off. I assume that I should be able to play a movie, and remove the power plug to let the battery take over.....or turn the unit on without having the power cord plug in.....I can't do either. I can't find any switch to engage the battery....can't find any settings in the menus of the DVD player....and can't find any instructions about the battery in the manual. The helpline insists that it has an internal battery and that it should last about 2.5 hrs. I thought I was a smart guy, but I'm feeling very dumb......please help!
Do portable DVD players kill your car battery? We have dual screen Phillips portable dvd player and the last few times we have used it, we have noticed that after using it the day before for a couple of hours, we have trouble starting our car. It is plugged into the adapter provided by the mini-van. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? The battery is about a week old.
Any suggestion for a portable DVD player for the car that allows game system hookup? Would prefer a portable DVD system with dual screens, and would like to have it with a battery. I saw a perfect one by Venturer, an 8.4" dual screen system, but can't find it at any store online or otherwise. I tried to email Venturer, and message failed. I am at a loss for what other system might work. We want to take on a long road trip and let the kids hook up their game system for the hours on the road.
Portable Disney DVD player will only play/recognize CD's.? We recently bought a portable dual screen Disney dvd player off ebay and it will only recognize and play CD's. When you put a dvd in, it just scans and scans endlessly, but never brings up a menu. I used a lens cleaning disc, didn't work; left it on for two hours in case of moisture problem, didn't work. Wondering if this was a common problem with an easy fix.
Portable DVD Player? So I'm taking a very long car ride with kids and was considering the dual screen dvd player for the car. Then I was thinking I should get a single portable to take with me other places. Any ideas on it? Which would be a better investment. Most singles I've seen are almost as much as the dual screen.
Can I install any dvd player in my car? I have an escalade with dual headrest screens, but I don't have a dvd player. Can I use any portable dvd player on it, or is there some kind of car dvd player that i need? Brands? Thanks!
Portable DVD Player with AV facility? I have a Canon EOS 400D which has a cable to connect to the Video input of the AV facility of any television. I would like to know whether they sell a Portable DVD Player with this facility as it would serve a dual purpose on holiday: one, you can listen/watch CD/DVDs, and two, you can plug in the camera and review pictures you have taken on a much bigger screen. If they do make them, can I please have the make? Thank you Thank you Classicsat. Yes, I have looked at quite a few, but it is AV output and not input. Remember I want to display the camer's pix, so it is OUT of the camera and IN to the PDvDP.
We have audio but not video on our portable DVD player. How do we fix it? It's a dual screen, so it's got the cables that come from the main device and plug in to each screen. (We secure them to the back of the captain's chairs in the minivan so our kids can watch movies during long road trips.) The screen is bright blue the whole time, not dark. All of the cables are connected (and they are all black). It plays all DVDs -- we can HEAR the movie, we just can't SEE it. The device has worked just fine until now. The screen is always blue. It is the only thing we can see.
Will AVI. format play on DVD Players? I use a game tracking/trail camera (cuddeback no flash to be exact) and it uses Compact Flash ULTRA II cards to collect the images and videos. I was going to purchase a card viewer with a screen to view images in the field immediately when I switch out my SD cards. After researching the only one I could find, I felt it was not economical, as the product reviews were at best 50/50 for this machine. I then started researching portable DVD players that also have a USB port (as tyhis is the way i presently view the images and videos on my computer), or even a card port. I have found quite a few of these which seem to be economical. This would also serve a dual purpose as I would have a portable DVD for DVD viewing. My question is this though. The format or the still images is JPEG. which it appears that (most) DVD players will play JPEG images. The video format is AVI. Does anyone know if DVD players will play this format? Or if there is one DVD that will? Thank You
Can I bring my xbox360 in a car trip without surges or anything happing to it? i'm going dowwn to florida this summer, and im bringing my xbox to let me have something to do when i go down. I have Durabrand dual screen portable dvd players that can be used to play video games (i've tried my ps2 and gamecube), and i am getting a new power inverter (NexxTech 400 watt power inverter). I don't know if my xbox 360 will get surges or something will happen and screw it up. If you know if the xbox will work or not, please sent me an answer!!!
Opinions on Accurian products? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3304505&cp=2032059.2032323&accessories=accessories&custRatings=custRatings&support=support¤tTab=custRatings&parentPage=family&features=features&summary=summary&techSpecs=techSpecs&tab=accessories That one in particular if anyone has used one. We bought out kids a dual screen portable dvd player but aren't happy with the wires being everywhere considering our youngest will be 2 1/2 and 13 months when it is given to them to use. There also is not enough room in the backseat for our other daughter to be able to view it comfortably. We want to find a larger single screen instead. Any opinions on this product would be appreciated...or suggestions on other brands.

Need clarifications on Xbox 360? Hi everyone, I have got some questions about the Xbox 360. 1) Ok we all know that the Elite comes with HDMI support. Does this mean that Elite will have better graphics than the Premium's? Isn't the 'normal' 360 is already in high-def? So why HDMI? 2) The portable HD-DVD rom is out now. But it just simply means that it play HD-DVD that has higher capacity than dual layer DVDs, yeah? And by the way, all the 360's games are in dual layer DVDs, aren't they? So the HD-DVD rom is primarily for high-def movies. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Do you think this laptop will play modern day games?,,,,,,? I have the option of getting a Toshiba X205-S9359 gaming laptop. It has a 8700m graphics card with 512mg of dedicated memory. I have the option of getting this laptop for only 400 dollars I am curious if it is worth buying. Will it be able to play modern day games? gaming console what do you like better ps3 or xbox 360? Overview of the Playstation 3 - What's So Amazing? The big deal with the Playstation 3 is that it sports Sony's new Cell Processor that was jointly developed by IBM, Sony Group and Toshiba Corporation. It also features a new graphics processor (RSX) co-developed by NVIDIA Corporation and SCEI, and XDR memory developed by Rambus Inc. To really rub it in, it also adopts BD-ROM (Blu-ray Disc ROM) with maximum storage capacity of 54 GB (dual layer), enabling delivery of entertainment content in full high-definition (HD) quality, under a secure environment made possible through the most advanced copyright protection technology. To match the accelerating convergence of digital consumer electronics and computer technology, PS3 announced support for high quality display in resolution of 1080p in addition to 720p/1080i. The computational power of the system itself sports the equivalent of 2 teraflops, meaning that entirely new graphical expressions that have never been seen before will become possible. In games, not only will movement of characters and objects be far more refined and realistic, but landscapes and virtual worlds can also be rendered in real-time, thereby elevating the freedom of graphics expression to levels not experienced in the past. Gamers will literally be able to dive into the realistic world seen in large screen movies and experience the excitement in real-time. If you saw the E3 video - real time game engines now look about as good as the Final Fantasy movie. Overview of the Xbox 360 - First to Market and Media Center Dominance? While the Playstation 2 had a much beter presentation, giving consumers a really in-depth look at the software and hardware behind the name, Xbox chose instead to utilize the MTV venue for making its big announcement. Details were scarce and game footage, scarcer, but the Xbox 360 didn't fail to impress those who managed to weed through the marketing hype and glean some interesting facts from the presentation. Microsoft is positioning the Xbox 360 console as the center of a digital connected home - providing much more than just game play. The way they are talking about it, it almost seems like it could even supplanting the Media Center PC. Powered by a custom-made IBM PowerPC-based three-core chip running at 3.2GHz, and supported by 512MB of GDDR3 RAM, the new Xbox has the raw processing power to deliver more than all but the most hot-rodded PCs can today. Video and graphics performance is powered by a new ATI GPU running at 500MHz, with 10MB of embedded DRAM. The Xbox 360 will ship with a 12X dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, no announcements for HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc integration has been inferred or announced. In addition it has three USB 2.0 ports, two memory unit slots (unspecified), and support for four wireless game controllers (unspecified whether Bluetooth or IEEE 802.11g). It supports progressive-scan DVD movies and nearly all DVD and CD formats with the notable exception of DVD-Audio and SACD. Users will be able to use the Xbox 360 as a "home base" for their digital media files and can rip MP3s to and from portable media devices or Windows XP PCs, as well as rip music to the Xbox's detachable (and upgradable) 20GB hard drive. For networking, the Xbox 360 includes a built-in ethernet port and support for 802.11a, b, and g flavors of Wi-Fi. If Microsoft can position the Xbox 360 as a great gaming machine as well as an effective Media Center it may be on to something big. Lets compare the two platforms below, paying attention to GPU and CPU specs as well as format and connectivity options and support. What do you think?? xboxs red rings alot and the playstation has been around alot more.. in my opinion i like the ps3 better but i want to hear what you think???

Is a 550 watt PSU enough? I'm about to purchase a new PC and it comes with a 550 watt PSU as standard. Here are the standard specs: AMD Phenom™ II X4 955 Black ASUS M4A78 Pro Hybrid CrossFireX Mainboard 8Gb Ram 512MB Onboard ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU & 1GB ATi HD4870 1TB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive Samsung 22x Dual Layer DVD Writer 52-in-1 Multi-format Memory Card Reader 7.1 High Definition onboard sound card When I take delivery, I will add: Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty PCI + 5.25" front break-out box 300Gb hard drive LG Blu-Ray drive 24" DVI monitor PCI Digital TV card plus keyboard and mouse and other occasional USB stuff like portable external hard drive. It will cost an extra £25 to upgrade to a 700 watt PSU, which I know doesn't sound like much but it all adds up and I'm trying to keep on top of the costs. So...is 550 watts enough, or will it go pop? Thanks

FFXI graphics are messed up...? I have installed both Warhammer online and FFXI on my Toshiba Satellite model A305-S6858 which has Vista on it. Warhammer looks fine however FFXI isn't looking correct with mostly the characters and mobs in the game. They flicker and appear to only show some of the colors or all the colors and parts of the character or mob are missing. I'm not sure what settings I need to change if I can to make this work correctly. I have installed the newest DirectX and video drivers and still not working properly and this is even after I reinstalled the OS. Which I did for other reason. I am probably giving more info than needed or maybe not enough.. However if someone can direct me the direction needed to get this solved I would be most greatful! Thanks ahead of time! Its a specail fix for the graphic issue I am having...so if anyone knows of where I can find it that would be great! Untill then I will keep searching. Thanks! A friend of mine found a link on intels site that has the 64 bit version downloadable. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2800&lang=eng If link wont work, just do the following: You go to Intels main page click downloads under work section. (takes you to a new window) Select "Graphics" on the left side Select "laptop graphic contollers" Select "Mobile Intel 965 express chipset family" (takes you to a new window) Just select the OS and go from there. As of last night they did have the vista home premium for downloading. I am not sure for the othe other os downloads. Hope this helps out! When I edit the question stating about the 64 bit driver being found, that was when I had the issue resolved... So thanks to you all for replying. Just glad I can play now with graphics back to normal.

Laptop help what spec to get? I’m thinking of getting a laptop rather than a desktop machine and as a relatively un-techie person need some advice on the spec. I really want to get it right so have an all round machine. I intend to spend around £500-600 ($1000) I need it to access the net via wireless, carry out basic Office Applications, play DVD’s, download video and music and occasionally output to a projector. If I could play a few games i.e. Half Life 2 that would be perfect. I often work on a number of things at once so need to be able to run a number of applications at the same time. I will be using it on the go so need it to be relatively portable. IS there anything I need to look out for that I could get tripped up on (i.e. the rotation rate of the HD or Mhz of the processor for instance? The minimum spec I’m looking at is: -Processor: Intel Core Duo or AMD Turion 64 (DDR ideally) -Memory: 1GB -Hard Drive: at least 60Gb -Connections: At least 3 USB Wi Fi Card (802.11 - g or a) (should I get an internal or external?) is this the same as ethernet? What other ports do I need? I may wish to fit a mobile card and external HD What type of card readers do I need if any? -Graphics memory: 128MB dedicated VRAM -Optical drive: DVD RW Drive (what does +/- mean? Also what does dual layer mean and is this necessary?) -Weight: under 3kgs Does this seem about right? Is there anything I’ve missed that I need to ensure it has or any other advice? Any recommendations/ warnings re: manufacturers/ retailers/ how to get a bargain? I don’t expect answers to all these but any would help

Is this a good computer? I put together this computer from Cyberpower, and I'm not sure if it is a good one or not. I will be running WOW on it, and leave my computer on for long periods of time, sometimes. I know I can get a better deal on a computer by building it myself, but I don't have the mechanical ability, and I know I would mess that up. Look below for computer specs.
