What is the best recommend dual DVD portable player for car? My husband and I are taking our kids to Disney in June, I was wondering we have been window shopping for portable DVD players for the car. Preferably a dual. But for some reason every dual dvd player that we have seen has terrible reviews from other people. Out of chance does anyone have or know of a great dual portable dvd player for the car that you can say works great and really recommend? Thanks in advance.
Which is the best Portable DVD player to buy ? I want something to entertain my children with on long car trips. Affordable for our family is around $150. I have tried researching reviews of customers on different stores websites but they are always more bad than good.
Reliable tablet style portable DVD player with safe in-car mounting? Ok, I'm stumped. I am looking for a portable DVD player. I like the tablet style so it doesn't have to sit like an "L" to be played on the back of the headrest in my car. I am also looking for a safe mounting option for it. These belts and buckles included in the portable carrying cases just don't look safe. I am going to be using it for my daughter and am worried that if I were to get in an accident it could possibly come loose and strike her. Perhaps it's a slim chance but still possible. Does anyone have any ideas? Every portable DVD player I look at has flaky reviews and I can't find one of those "pouch style" headrest mounts (looks like a headrest cover) that will fit a tablet style portable DVD player. Help! Thanks!
Does anyone know of a good portable DVD player for a preschooler? My son is almost 4, and in the last year he has broken 3 portable dvd players and 2 full size ones. He does not break them on purpose, but we give him two hours a day to watch movies and he is a very independent child so he likes to work things for himself. Usually the door breaks, that holds the DVD in place. That is our most common problem. We are trying to find a DVD player that would not break as easily, that we could buy him for Christmas. We were thinking about the Fisher Price Kids Tough DVD player but I have read bad reviews on it lately. Any Ideas?

Will AVI. format play on DVD Players? I use a game tracking/trail camera (cuddeback no flash to be exact) and it uses Compact Flash ULTRA II cards to collect the images and videos. I was going to purchase a card viewer with a screen to view images in the field immediately when I switch out my SD cards. After researching the only one I could find, I felt it was not economical, as the product reviews were at best 50/50 for this machine. I then started researching portable DVD players that also have a USB port (as tyhis is the way i presently view the images and videos on my computer), or even a card port. I have found quite a few of these which seem to be economical. This would also serve a dual purpose as I would have a portable DVD for DVD viewing. My question is this though. The format or the still images is JPEG. which it appears that (most) DVD players will play JPEG images. The video format is AVI. Does anyone know if DVD players will play this format? Or if there is one DVD that will? Thank You
Portable DVD Player with AV facility? I have a Canon EOS 400D which has a cable to connect to the Video input of the AV facility of any television. I would like to know whether they sell a Portable DVD Player with this facility as it would serve a dual purpose on holiday: one, you can listen/watch CD/DVDs, and two, you can plug in the camera and review pictures you have taken on a much bigger screen. If they do make them, can I please have the make? Thank you Thank you Classicsat. Yes, I have looked at quite a few, but it is AV output and not input. Remember I want to display the camer's pix, so it is OUT of the camera and IN to the PDvDP.
Portable dvd player problem? I have an Audiovox d1817pk 8" 16:9 format. The player worked reasonably well, as well as expected, for four days. On the fourth day, I turned it on, and I noticed that the screen was very dark. I could still see shapes on the screen, and if I shined a bright light on it, I could see the picture at about 50% of normal brightness. I read reviews and found that this happened to other people as well. I have been very careful with this player, and I know that I did nothing to cause this. If I wanted to send it back to audiovox, I would have to pay $97 for repairs, and also shipping, is there anyway to fix this myself, or will I have to settle for a lot of disgruntled calls and emails to audiovox? Because I am not paying that much to fix something I didn't break in the first place and is only 4 days old.

Good airline to travel long distance like to Southeast asia? For example I found a cheap flight to Singapore/Malaysia throught United Airlines, but when I went online I found quite a few bad reviews on them, no tv's for example on the back of the chairs. I mean I could bring a portable DVD player but that would only last for a few hours..and it's cool to watch foreign movies etc..like Korean airlines was really nice. It just makes time go by quicker for a 20+ hour plane ride.. Anyway, any other good airlines I should watch out for? American Airlines? Hm, sacrifice comfort for saving money??
Can I Play All the Computers sound through headphones and speakers at the same time? OK, so right now, I'm trying to make a video review of a computer game. I'm recording with FRAPS. My previous setup was have a male-male cable run from headphones to AV input on my portable DVD player with two headphone jacks. Then have another male-male cable go from heaphone jack 1 to the mic jack And have speakers coming out of the Headphone jack 2, so I can hear what I'm playing (It's a music game, so I NEED to hear whats happening) The sound came out crackily, so my new setup is to have speaker cable from computer to mic jack on computer, which has good audio when I play it back. When I plug speakers into the headphone slot, I can hear it fine. But when I try recording, I can hear what I'm recording, but the sound is cut off from the speakers (Which is actually the mic jack) So it doesnt record the sound? How can I have audio out of both?
Paypal advice? I sold this guy on ebay a portable dvd player for 51.95. He received it and he said it was broken and wanted his money back. Before he even told me that he filed a claim on paypal and that's where he told me the above. Yet he is not sending me back the item! Anyway I checked paypal and it said this: Resolution Center - Claim Details We have completed our investigation of this case. We have denied this claim and a refund will not be issued. And it says "cased closed." But then on the bottom it says this: The Dispute History Log displays all actions related to your claim. Date Actor Action Details Mar. 11, 2008 PayPal Case closed Mar. 11, 2008 PayPal Refund issued Mar. 11, 2008 PayPal Refund initiated Feb. 18, 2008 PayPal Case under review Feb. 17, 2008 PayPal Email sent to seller So wtf which is it? Did they issue a refund or not?
How can I review pictures I take with my Nikon D40 on my computer right after I've taken them? Alright, I know its possible but I just need to know what I need and exactly how to go about it. I saw a video on Youtube on how this photographer thinks the 2.5in screen is a little too tiny for his eyes, so he just hooks up a portable DVD player to his camera (since the DVD screen is bigger) to playback the images right after he takes them. I know you can do the same thing with a regular laptop, I just need to know how. Do I need a special cord? Would it cost a much? Thanks in advance. I bought my camera used and it didn't come with the software...it came with a able though, the one normally used to transer images. Does it also work for viewing them on playback on the computer screen?
Should i buy an Xbox 360, a nintendo Wii or a Sony PSP? Just been christmas, have lots of money, so can afford any console. Played on an Xbox 360, like their feel and the games i played were great. Xbox is expensive but seems to have more going for it atm. Played on a Wii and they are great! Controller is awesome, however, they have no DVD player, and not really any games going for it except Zelda (which is fantastic). All the others seem lame, and have recieved mostly bad reviews. PSP is great, and i like the portable aspect as well as the price, again though, sony are letting it down with the game releases. Please help me, am torn apart, not sure what to get. Price isn't a factor (although cheaper is better!), Graphics not that big deal. Really looking for a decent console that will keep me entertained.....
Should I get a Flip Ultra F260 Camcorder? I have a 9 month old baby boy and I would like a very portable camcorder that I can take with us places and to generally use around the house. I've been looking into the Flip Ultra F260. It is affordable ($109 at Walmart) and has 60 minutes of filming which should be plenty as I can always download our movies on to the computer when we get home. I am aware that there is no space for external memory cards. I am impressed with the description of the software that it comes with. Supposedly the software allows you to edit your videos and even add music. It also lets you take still pictures from video clips and makes it very easy to email the clips to friends and family. All of the reviews sound really positive, but I want to make sure it is a good match for me before I buy it. Here are my questions: 1.) Is the software really as great and as easy to use as it sounds? 2.) How easy is it to burn your videos from the camera to a DVD that can be played on a regular DVD player? 3.) How is the battery life of the regular AA batteries and should I invest in the rechargeable battery pack for it? 4.) If you have the Ultra, how has it worked out for you or if you have another camera, would you recommend it instead. Thanks for any and all answers!
