Portable (in car) DVD players? Hi my question is regarding portable DVD players, I have been looking at one of these for in the car for long journeys for my children. I was going to buy 2 screen in car DVD player's but have decided to purchase just the one. The portable DVD players seem okay but I do not know if they come with a lead so that they can be powered by the cigarette lighter socket in my car. Are the portable DVD players only powered by battery or do they have a lead? The twin in car DVD players have a lead that enables them to be powered by the cigarette lighter socket but I'm not to sure if the portable DVD players have this function. i am after a twin in car DVD player set that allows you to watch two DVD's? i was wondering if anyone can recommend where i can get one from, all i can see if a twin set that only allows you to watch same dvd there are sets that let each screen have their own dvd but they are rare out there any suggestions thanks i know argos do one for £150 but they were cheaper than that few years ago why didnt i buy one at the time!

Can an in car dvd player play in a house? hey i saw a twin screen in car dvd plaoyer and it says 12v battery powered in a cigarette lighter of a car, please could anyone tell me if this also means it comes with a charger and you can use it in the house just like any nirmal dvd player, and can you watch the same dvd on both screens and are the sacreens seperate? anyone who answers this question would be voted best answer immedietly

How do I connect one portable dvd plyaer to another I am looking into buying 2 Sony DVP-FX820 portable DVD players so my twins can watch the same DVD/movie, on their own screen for now, without us having to buy two copies of a lot of movies. But when they get older, they won't want to watch the same movie, hence the two separate players. Does anyone know if I can connect these two separate players and have one play a DVD and output to the other so the video plays on both?

can you get a portable in car dvd player to fit a seven seater car? Just wondering as when my 2 kids are in the 2 back seats they cannot see the television in the middle seats... why does my remote not perform R/L moves on DVD game on portable player.everything works on another portable? this is a ferguson twin screen portable.the R/L moves work on the player controls ,the remote works R/L moves on the setup feature . There is nothing wrong with the game as it works perfect on another portable.

Why do they still make full screen DVDs? Even though I own a Blu-ray player I still occasionally buy DVDs if the movie I'm buying lacks special effects or if it's a kid's movie that I would only watch with the family rather than by myself. So I picked up a new DVD just today and brought it home, opened it, popped it in and it's a frigin full screen movie. I immediately picked up the DVD case to see just where it was printed that it was a full screen movie and sure enough on the back, on the bottom, in small print were the words "Standard version" It was printed so small that I had to look twice to find it. Now I cannot return the DVD to the store because it's been opened. So it looks as though I'm stuck with a full screen movie to watch on my wide screen TV. So my question is, why do they still make full screen movies on DVDs? Is there really still a market for those? Why not sell VHF/UHF antennas with the twin screw lugs that hook into the screw terminals on old TVs while we're at it? If we turn it to channel 3 we can play Atari! With the exception of TV series being brought out on DVD there seems to be no reason to make new full screen movies on DVD, yet I found one today. I admit it's my own fault for not carefully reading every word printed on the DVD case to check if it was wide screen. But come on, I also didn't read every word on my Blu-ray movies to see if they're Hi definition or not. I just assume they are.

My apartment was Robbed because Maintenance left my door Unlocked!!!!? I came home to find a notice on my counter saying that maintenance entered the apartment to fix things. i never received a warning that they were coming. My door was unlocked and someone stole my flat screen tv, Xbox, Computer labtop,dvd player, and the saddest part my twin's baby stroller!!!!My neighborhood isn't the greatest but I am doubting that a resident did these things. Why would anyone try to enter a home if they don't know who's there I am completely clueless and upset. I filed a police report and I'm wondering if my things can be replaced. Can I break my lease because of this I don't feel safe and I want to get out of there ? thanks. Do you think it may have been maintenance ? One time a maintenance worker entered my apartment and folded my clothes and sofa bed and cleaned up (this was out of line and that man had a crush on me i turned him down several times) he is an older man but idk if he has hostility because i don't like him...

How can I connect my Gateway to my TV? I can't figure out a way to connect my Gateway to my TV at all, I have a Gateway M series 6320 and my tv is alittle old it's a Philips tv it has front and back input connectors but when I connect the VGA to my laptop then to my TV the laptop says the display is connected however all I see is a black screen with lines. The male jack does bring in the audio though. What am I doing wrong or missing? I also have a converter box from the government and a dvd player and ps2 so maybe someone can shed some light. My cables: Laptop VGA to TV S-Video RCA AV 3 Adapter Cable Cord 2M 3.5mm stereo Male jack to twin phono/RCA cable/lead
