Computer requirements for HD filmmaking?

Could this be ok for filmmaking using HD? I intend to make feature films with After Effects and Adobe Premiere for editing. 1. Hell yes.. You have a monster of a computer..Im jealous
  2. The system sounds good. I'd be concerned with multiple cpu capability... apple has an 8 core system that rocks. make a pc with the same specs. You're also shooting with a JVC HDV camera... that means the HD is already compressed. I'd be really concerned with lighting skills more than your cpu at the moment. If you shoot the project right you'll have something that looks really good. Make sure your Blu Ray authoring is real and not just for burning blu ray data discs. Not every Blu Ray player will play BD-R's so make sure your ready for that end or you'll just be burning NTSC ready discs.
