Dual Screen DVD Players

Portable DVD players on Continental Express Jet?

I leave for a trip this coming Wed. night and I want something to keep me busy for the 3 hour flight. I know different Airlines have different rules & since this airplane is smaller, I was wondering if portable DVD players are still allowed to be used on the flight as long as I have ear phones? Also, what should I expect with taking one of these through security? Should it be out of the case, ect? So its ok to have on the Express Jet operated by Continental Airlines as well?

  1. I've never had a problem taking my DVD player through security or playing it on the plane. (You just can't operate it during takeoff or landing.)
  2. Alrighty,,, this is a very very good question and thank you for asking it. 1.) I was wondering if portable DVD players are still allowed to be used on the flight as long as I have ear phones? A: Yes,, your portable DVD player is allowed to be used on the flight as long as you used your earphones. You just can't have it playing during the demo, take off, or 5 minutes before landing. 2.) Also, what should I expect with taking one of these through security? Should it be out of the case, ect? A: Make sure you put it an easily accessibly place in your carry on luggage since you will need to bring it out when you go through security in the airport. It needs to be put in a separate tray when it goes through the x-ray machine. I know it's a hassle,, but jes follow the rules coz it'll make it easier for you and everybody around you. Thank you for reading along, I hope this helps you out,, God Bless
