  1. no, my brother-in-law bought a digetal camera and it doesn't work. but because the bag is missing they will not refund his money. i don't like wal-mart
  2. Its ok. I would buy from : http://www.chinavasion.com/?ref=1628 Much more choice and much cheaper. 1 years warranty on everything as well
  3. Hi Heather, It depends on what you want from the store. Many stores sell the same brands, some with more brands, some with more selection. Of the "Big Box" stores, I find Wal-Mart's selection more limited than many others. At Wal-Mart, the staff usually doesn't know much about the products and is not informed enough to make recommendations and help with your purchase. You will get off cheap at Wal-Mart but you need to do your own research. Same with Best Buy. Circuit City is better informed but they set on you like a pack of hungry wolves at the door. Higher end Home theater stores will have great information and service and you pay for that. What do you need...help deciding or a better price...let that be your guide. I have had a lot of success comparing prices on the internet. I have been stunned in the price difference on the same item at different vendors. Good Luck
  4. The quality of portable DVD player is dependent upon the player itself not the store. Be sure to watch the player in action, does it have decent sound and a good video presentation. I believe in shopping around. (of course you want to shop where you get good service, help as needed etc.) If there are DVD players at Wal Mart that you like the looks of and are priced right, check it out by searching on line, looking at consumer reports, etc. Once you decide the player is one you want you can easily comparison shop for the best price. (bizrate, shop.com, etc.) Then you will know if the WalMart price is good in comparison. There are sites online that review products (CNET reviews, ratings.net, consumersearch.com, etc.) and some that are a forum type set up for consumer feedback (consumer democracy etc.) where you can get an idea as to whether or not it is considered good. I work with a store that provides consumer reviews on the products it sells. If you click on the product you will find consumer ratings. If you want to check it out...http://www.homemedias.info/shophomeelectronics.htm Expert opinions are great, but I also like to see what current owners think to see if a product stacks up to the reviews. After all of that you will have selected the quality product you want, and whether you buy it at Wal-Mart, on e-Bay or wherever you should be in good shape.
  5. As far as quality is concerned, Wal~Mart is as good a place as anywhere else. They sell the same brand names as other stores. The reason they charge less is because it's pick & choose. You have to do your own research, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Other stores may have more knowledgeable sales people, but it doesn't mean that their knowledge is correct.
  6. No.
