Dual Screen DVD Players

Can I bring my xbox360 in a car trip without surges or anything happing to it?

i'm going dowwn to florida this summer, and im bringing my xbox to let me have something to do when i go down. I have Durabrand dual screen portable dvd players that can be used to play video games (i've tried my ps2 and gamecube), and i am getting a new power inverter (NexxTech 400 watt power inverter). I don't know if my xbox 360 will get surges or something will happen and screw it up. If you know if the xbox will work or not, please sent me an answer!!!

  1. Your xbox will be fine as long as your genarator has enough power to supply to the xbox, in fact your xbox would likely shut off from lack of power before it overcharged etc
  2. Double check the power requirements for the 360 itself, then make sure your power inverter can handle the job. The car's alternator is probably going to get a pretty good workout from this, and if the car's lights, air conditioning and other accessories are running as well you probably will notice a power drain. As far as too much power being delivered to the xbox, I wouldn't be too worried. On a personal note, I probably would pack up the xbox, save it for when you get there, and take extra movies to watch in the car. A large dip or someone slamming on brakes is all it could take to render your xbox a $400+ paperweight.
